Meet the Salvation Army
Chances are you are already familiar with the Salvation Army. Maybe you have seen them ringing the bell near a red kettle around the holiday season, or you have volunteered at one of their food distributions. Maybe you have received assistance from them for housing, hunger, or counseling services. Regardless of how you know them, you know they have been making an impact in Lea County for a long time.
Career Technical Education High School
In 2019, the JF Maddox Foundation awarded a grant of $10 million in support of the new career technical education high school to be built in Hobbs, NM.
Covenant Health Moving to Hobbs
The JF Maddox Foundation awarded a grant to Covenant Health System for $6.3 million to help fund the construction of a new hospital in Hobbs, NM.
Center of Recreational Excellence
This $62.5 million and 150,000 square-foot project offers something for everyone throughout Lea County and the surrounding communities.

Housing Insecurity: A Clearer Picture of Lea County
What does housing insecurity mean? To be housing insecure can span from true homelessness through a broad spectrum of housing issues and risk factors including frequent moves, poor quality housing, crowded living space, or inability to afford rent or utilities.
Scholarship Application Adjustments
High school students have a lot on their mind when entering their last academic year, but this year that burden is even heavier. With schools closing their campuses in the spring of 2020, the JF Maddox Foundation decided to take early action in giving our scholarship applicants and schools as much consideration as possible.
